WHAT FORMS OF ID ARE ACCEPTED?

To successfully complete this appointment, we’ll need a valid ID acceptable to the State of California:

ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF ID

  • Driver's License or ID Card issued by the State of California

  • US Passport or Passport Card

OTHER FORMS OF ACCEPTABLE ID

  • ID Card issued by any State in the U.S.

  • Voter ID issued by any State in the U.S.

  • Tribal ID

  • Military ID

  • Driver's License issued in Canada or Mexico

  • Foreign Passport

  • California State ID Badge

Not Accepted:

  • Birth certificates

  • Social Security cards

  • Work badges without a state seal

If you are using an ID listed under Other Forms of Acceptable ID, your ID must have your photo, physical description, serial number and signature.
